How do I open an account?
To open an account with the Bank of Richmondville, please visit one of our local branches and an employee will be happy to assist you. You will need to bring one of the following primary documents, which contain a valid photo and signature, date of birth, and your current address:
- Unexpired State-Issued Photo ID
- Driver's License
- Learner's Permit
- Non-Driver Photo Identification Card
- Boat License
- Unexpired U.S. Military ID (Military and dependents)
- Unexpired U.S. Passport
- Unexpired U.S. Resident Alien ID card
Are my deposit accounts insured by the FDIC?
Yes, individual customer accounts are insured up to $250,000 per owner. Depending on account registration, greater FDIC insurance coverage may be available. For more information, visit your local branch or call 518-234-4397.
How can I access my account balance?
There are several ways you can get your account balance:
1. To listen to your account information 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you can call our toll free banking line at 1-877-234-8222.
2. You can also register for online banking to view your bank statement and transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What is the difference between a savings passbook and a statement savings?
With a savings passbook, you must come to the bank to process transactions such as withdrawals and deposits, as well as have your interest printed into your passbook. On the other hand, statement savings accounts allow you to process transactions without a passbook that may get lost or stolen. You simply need to know your account number, then fill out a deposit or withdrawal slip supplied at your local branch. When attached to your primary checking account, statement savings allows you to have an ATM (debit) card so that you may withdraw money at any ATM, unlike with a savings passbook.

How can I set up direct deposit for my payroll check or Social Security check?
Your employer or Social Security Administrator will provide you with the appropriate materials needed to participate in direct deposit. An employee at your local Bank of Richmondville branch will gladly help you fill out the paperwork.
Is it possible to set up wire transfers to and from my checking account?
Yes, please visit your nearest branch to set up a wire transfer. You will need the following to wire money out:
Beneficiary: Name, Account Number, Complete Physical Address

You can make an appointment with one of our experienced loan officers or apply at any one of our branch locations.
What do I need to bring with me when I apply for a mortgage?
Although not required, it would be helpful to bring the following items with you when meeting with a loan officer: tax returns, bank statements and a recent pay stub.
How can I find out what my payment will be?
Please visit our Website and click "Calculators", then "Mortgage loans" and fill in the numbers. It will calculate your principal and interest payment for you.

What is the maximum amount I can withdraw from an ATM? What is my daily limit or purchase limit on my ATM Card?
The amount of money available for withdrawal or accessible with an ATM card varies depending on the individual. Visit your local branch or call 518-234-4397 to find out your limit.
Can I change the amount I can withdraw from an ATM?
In order to increase or decrease the amount you are able to withdraw from an ATM, please visit your local branch or call 518-234-4397 for more information.
Can I transfer funds at an ATM?
Yes, you can transfer funds by selecting the “transfer funds” option at the ATM. Please note: This option will only work for accounts that are linked to the individual debit card.
What should I do if I plan to travel out of the country and use my ATM or Debit Card?

Who can I talk to if I want to replace my card or change my pin number?
Please visit your local branch and a Bank of Richmondville employee will assist you.
What should I do if my ATM or Debit Card is lost or stolen?
